Vice President, Quality, Safety and Mission Success
Cindy Nafus is the vice president of Quality, Safety and Mission Success for United Launch Alliance (ULA). In this role she serves as the strategic planning leader responsible for consistent and proactive product and service quality while maintaining 100 percent mission success and ensuring the safety of ULA’s people and hardware. Nafus also represents ULA in the company’s quality and mission success partnerships with external customers.
She began her career with the McDonnell Douglas Corporation in 1983 and worked in a quality support role on both the Spacelab and SPACEHAB Programs. After joining the Decatur Operations Team in 1999, she held several positions of increasing responsibility with The Boeing Company and then ULA, including both quality and production leadership, and most recently as the director of Decatur Production Operations.
Nafus earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Athens State University. She serves in numerous positions of leadership in the community including being a member of the board of directors for the Decatur/Morgan County Chamber of Commerce and the United Way Women’s Leadership Council.Download PDF
