Vice President, Strategy and Business Development
Kent Lietzau joined United Launch Alliance (ULA) in December 2015 as vice
president of Strategy and Business Development. In this role he leads a team responsible for ULA’s growth in providing commercial, civil and governmental launch services.
Lietzau began his career as a flight test engineer and project manager for the Air Force. In 1994 he joined the private sector, taking leadership roles at Lockheed Martin, McKinsey & Company and Honeywell Aerospace. Before joining ULA, Lietzau served as the director of Strategy and New Ventures, Space Systems Company at Lockheed Martin, where he led strategic planning, strategic growth, and new business solutions for their $8 billion space and missile business area.
Lietzau graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a bachelor’s of science degree in aeronautical engineering. He also has a master’s degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School.Download PDF
