2025 Student Rocket Launch
The Student Rocket Launch Returns!
Join United Launch Alliance and BAE Systems for the 17th annual Student Rocket Launch! The event will be held on July 19, 2025, hosted by the San Luis Valley Rocketeers in Alamosa, Colorado.
Witness the launch of Live, Laugh and Launch, three intern-built sport rockets that are projected to reach altitudes of approximately 8,500 ft. This year, 12 different payloads have been integrated across the rockets, all designed by either members of the BAE Systems Intern Remote Sensing Team (BIRST) or K-12 students. Each payload is judged by their design phase, testing phase and payload performance. The top three scoring teams will earn a cash prize for their school or a nonprofit organization of their choosing.
