United Launch Alliance UAW Employees Ratify New Contract


Centennial, Colo. (June 20, 2013) – United Launch Alliance was notified that the United Auto Workers representing its workforce at Harlingen, Texas, has accepted the company’s new three-year contract offer.

The new contract covers approximately 119 represented bargaining unit employees from Local Lodge #2346 that build structural components for the Atlas V launch vehicle.

The contract will become effective at 12:01 a.m., June 20, 2013.  Negotiations on the new contract officially started May 8 and ended June 18, with the ratification vote occurring June 19.

“Employees at Harlingen and their contributions have helped propel ULA forward in delivering critical capabilities for our nation and our customers,” said Michael Gass, ULA President and Chief Executive Officer. “The negotiating teams worked very hard to reach a fair and equitable agreement for the represented employees and to maintain ULA’s competitiveness and operational efficiency.
